ScholarMe (“we”, “us”) helps you discover postgraduate opportunities that fit your academic profile. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It describes how the product works today. It is not legal advice.

Who this covers

This policy applies when you visit scholarme.app, create an account, sign in, upload a CV, run a search, save opportunities, or write to us through Contact or Feedback.

Information we collect

• Account. Your email address. If you register with a password, the password is stored so that we cannot read it. If you continue with Google, we receive the email and basic profile needed for sign-in.
• Profile and CV. Details you provide or that we extract from your CV: name, contact details, nationality, education, experience, skills, research interests, and preferences such as degree level or preferred countries. Your CV file and the structured profile built from it are stored securely so we can show them to you and power your searches.
• Searches and saved items. Search preferences, queries we generate, opportunity results, match explanations, and notes or status you attach to saved opportunities.
• Messages. Name, email, and message body when you use Contact or Feedback. Those notes are delivered to support@scholarme.app.

How we use information

• Create and secure your account, including password reset.
• Parse your CV, build and update your profile, and remember search preferences.
• Search the public web for relevant opportunities and rank them against your profile.
• Show results, saved opportunities, and calendar deadlines in the product.
• Reply to support and feedback messages.
• Protect the service from abuse and operate day-to-day infrastructure.

Security and encryption

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not have access to your account credentials.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, profile, CV, search, and saved data while your account exists. You can delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes your sign-in identity, stored profile and CV materials, searches, opportunities, and saved items.

Your choices

• Edit your profile and preferences in the app.
• Upload a new CV or stop using search features.
• Delete saved opportunities or your entire account.
• Contact us at support@scholarme.app or through Contact / Feedback for privacy questions.

International processing

Our service providers may process data in other countries where they operate. If you use ScholarMe from elsewhere, your information may be processed outside your home country under those providers’ terms and safeguards.

Children

ScholarMe is aimed at people applying for postgraduate study. It is not directed at children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact support@scholarme.app and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
